Are Mechanical Bulls Safe?
Mechanical bulls are known to violently buck and throw people off and are thought to typically be found at a bar or club. Unfortunately, those are also the same common misconceptions that many people have about renting a mechanical bull which is just not the case. At ACP Entertainment, our top priority is safety which includes carrying safe and reliable attractions. As with anything, there is always an inherent risk involved but we constantly strive to reduce the risk as much as possible. Reducing risk starts with the attractions that we rent and we would not carry an attraction that we know has a high risk of injuries. So, are mechanical bulls safe? The short answer is yes, our mechanical bull is absolutely safe. However, not all mechanical bulls are created equally, so for the long answer keep reading.
While we can say our mechanical bull ride is definitely safe, the same cannot be said for all mechanical bulls on the market. There are many key features on our mechanical bull that makes it safer than most others. Those features include:
- Soft foam-like bull head
- Soft horns
- Seamless inflatable padding around the bull; and
- Automatic programs for a safe riding experience
In addition to the technical safety factors of our mechanical bull, the ride is always operated by our trained and experienced staff members. Our operators are required to have their full attention on the person riding the mechanical bull while the ride is in motion so that the moment that the rider is about to fall off, the bull is stopped immediately.
We like to call our mechanical bull the “family friendly” bull because almost all ages can ride it. For the smallest of riders, parents are allowed to stand on the inflatable holding their child while the bull slowly rocks back and forth. Basically it’s just enough for the child to experience a “ride” on the mechanical bull. For all other riders, the ride starts on the “Easy” automatic preset, will slowly work their way up to the “Medium” automatic preset and then finally the “Hard” automatic preset. 90% of the riders will not make it past the “Slow” preset and if they do, they must have stayed on for at least 20-30 seconds before advancing to “Medium.” If the rider continues to hang on up to 60 seconds, then the rider has beat the bull and the operator will bring the bull to a stop to bring on the next rider.

How much does it cost to rent a mechanical bull from ACP Entertainment?
We don’t publish our prices online because every event is different. Total pricing depends on the time of the event, location and if power is available on site or if we need to bring power. Please call our office team to get a quote and availability for your event.
Are mechanical bulls safe?
All of our mechanical bulls are manufactured by Galaxy Multi Rides, the safest mechanical bull manufacturer in the United States. Our mechanical bulls have safety padding all around the motion base plus an inflatable that surrounds the motion base. The bull itself has a soft-foam head and foam filled, vinyl covered horns. The mechanical bull also has pre-made set programs that start with easy and work their way up to medium and hard (although 98% of the riders don’t make it past easy)
Is the mechanical bull safe for kids and adults?
Our mechanical bull is safe for kids and adults alike so long that the rider is of good health and aligns within the restrictions of being at least 48″ tall and less than 300 pounds. With the many safety features of the mechanical bull, rigorous maintenance and a trained and experienced operator, the mechanical bull and it’s operation is definitely safe!
How much space and power is needed for a mechanical bull setup?
The inflatable for the mechanical bull is a 16′ wide circle plus the blower tube on the back of the inflatable. Then you have the operator position on the opposite side of the blower. All together, a 20×20 space should be adequate for the mechanical bull setup. A minimum ceiling height of 10 feet is required as well. For power, we need 2-110v/20amp circuits to operate the bull. One circuit is for the blower and the other is for the mechanics of the ride.
Does ACP Entertainment provide an operator for the mechanical bull?
Yes, for all of our rides-including Mechanical Bulls-we provide operators to setup and safely operate the bull.
Can the mechanical bull rental be setup indoors or outdoors?
Our mechanical bull can be setup either inside or outside so long as we have power within 100 feet of the bulls placement and you have the required space needed for setup.
