What is a Mechanical Unicorn Ride and how does it work?
Our Mechanical Unicorn ride is just like a mechanical bull, but with a unicorn body instead of a bull body. The mechanical rodeo ride system is called a “multi ride,” meaning it’s the same mechanics, controls and inflatable as a mechanical bull but a unicorn instead. Also, the unicorn always stays on the easy setting due to the size and weight of the attachment. Plus, it’s also more of an experiential ride, not a “make you fall off” type of ride.
Is the Mechanical Unicorn Ride safe for all ages?
Our mechanical unicorn is safe for kids and adults alike so long that the rider is of good health and aligns within the restrictions of being at least 48″ tall and less than 300 pounds. With the many safety features of the mechanical unicorn, rigorous maintenance and a trained and experienced operator, the mechanical bull and it’s operation is definitely safe!
Do you provide a trained operator with the Mechanical Unicorn Ride?
Yes, for all of our rides-including the Mechanical Unicorn-we provide operators to setup and safely operate the attraction.
How much space and power do I need for setup?
The inflatable for the mechanical unicorn is a 16′ wide circle plus the blower tube on the back of the inflatable. Then you have the operator position on the opposite side of the blower. All together, a 20×20 space should be adequate for the mechanical unicorn setup. A minimum ceiling height of 10 feet is required as well. For power, we need 2-110v/20amp circuits to operate the unicorn. One circuit is for the blower and the other is for the mechanics of the ride.
Can the ride be operated gently, or does it always buck riders off?
The unicorn ride can absolutely be operated gently if riders want to ride it but not fall off. That’s when the operator goes into manual mode and operates the joystick ever so gently compared to going into one of the pre-set modes. When the operator does use a pre-set program with the unicorn, it is always set to easy. Never more than that.
